Three Nanonics scientists were recently honored at an awards ceremony sponsored by the Mayor of Jerusalem and the Minister of Immigrant Absorption. This year marks the second year of the ceremony, initiated as part of a project to celebrate the works and contributions of immigrants to the support and development of the city.
Dr. Galina Fish and Dr. Vilen Voll were two out of eleven scientists awarded for their general, scientific and occupational contributions to the city of Jerusalem. Dr. Rimma Dechter was one of only three scientists to be awarded as a promising new scientist with the potential to make a significant contribution to the advancement of science in Jerusalem.
The awardees were selected from among dozens of applicants, by a panel of representatives from the Ministry of Absorption, the Jerusalem Municipality and volunteer organizations.

Nanonics Imaging, Ltd. was also awarded for its outstanding contribution to immigrant absorption in the field of science. Nanonics was the only company to receive this award.
Nanonics Imaging, Ltd. was founded in 1997 by Chaya and Aaron Lewis who themselves emigrated from the United States in 1986. Fully understanding the challenges facing new immigrants, Professor and Mrs. Lewis strove to create an atmosphere of encouragement and understanding in the company. As a result, Nanonics' scientists are passionately dedicated to the development of an innovative and unique product portfolio in the area of Scanning Probe Microscopy. Over the last decade Nanonics' systems have stood at the forefront of technology providing answers for a wide range of nanotechnological applications unavailable with other measurement tools.
