Multiprobe Mode

Multiprobe Mode

Multiple probe scanners with independent feedback are used for high resolution transport measurements. The exposed geometry of the probes allows bringing them as close to each other as desired including contact between them.

Up to 4 probe scanners, including a sample scanner beneath them can be used simultaneously. They can be placed in high vacuum and Cryogenic chamber. Each probe scanner is optically friendly allowing for external optical measurements in situ such as AFM-Raman.

Each probe scanner is an independent SPM system which can image all the standard SPM modes such as AFM, KPM, EFM, NSOM, STM, AFM-Raman, TERS etc.

The design is modular such that one can begin with one MV4000 and later on add more.

With our Multi-Probe solution, one can measure nanoscale transport properties which cannot be imaged with one probe. Pump-probe experiments such as plasmon transport, electrical conductance on CNT’s and Thermal transport are imaged around the globe with our Multi-Probe system.

The Multi-Probe opens new frontiers to nano-characterization. It can be used also for measuring different properties of the substrate by using different probes positioned at the same location. It can be used for writing with one probe and reading with the other.
