Ben-Gurion Students Get the Full Tour

2011-01-05

On December 30th, 2010, fifty students of all levels from the nanotechnology track of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (Israel) visited Nanonics Imaging, Ltd. for an enlightening afternoon of lectures, tours, and hands-on demonstrations.

The students split into two groups of 25; one group attended a lecture by Professor Aaron Lewis, CEO of Nanonics Imaging, Ltd., on the milestones of developing a successful nanotechnology company; and the other group split into five more groups for practical demonstrations of AFM, AFM-Raman, Lithography and MultiProbe NSOM, as well as a tour of the company. After an hour the groups traded places.

Professor Oren Regev, head of the department of Chemical Engineering at Ben-Gurion University, greatly appreciated the efforts of the Nanonics team:

The visit was efficient and successful; it exposed the students to 'the other side of the mountain'  -  after textbooks, courses and basic research  -  where the focus is on applications.

The students learnt a lot and enjoyed the visit. They keep talking about the positive effect it left and the spectrum of scientific horizons it opened.

We would like to thank you for the extremely efficient organization, very warm welcome  and the excellent presentations by you and your employees.
